The Detroit Lions are in the midst of one of the greatest seasons in the franchise’s lengthy history. Detroit is 9-1 for the first time since 1934 after winning its eighth game in a row for the first time in the same season in the same 90-year span.
That unprecedented success in the Super Bowl era is getting some serious acclaim. And with the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs falling from the ranks of the unbeaten in Week 11, the Lions are now the betting favorites to win the Super Bowl — for the first time ever, according to NBC Sports.
As of noon ET on October 18th, BetMGM lists the Lions at +310 to win Super Bowl LIX. Detroit moved ahead of the Chiefs, who are now set at +450 after losing to the Bills. Buffalo is third at +650.
