Lions looking for a safety, concerned about Delmas

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.........................who do they plan on finding?

According to Jason LaCanfora of CBS Sports, the Lions are shopping for veteran safety help due to concerns about FS Louis Delmas' knee.
Coach Jim Schwartz characterized Delmas as "day-to-day" after exiting last week's game with an injury to the same knee that sidelined him for the first five weeks of the season. Obviously having no basis in reality, Schwartz's injury updates have become comical. Delmas has missed nine of the Lions' past 12 games.

As much as I like Delmas he just can't stay healthy. I hope they find someone with a pulse.

Laron Landry sure sounds good right about now.

To me, Delmas has moved from Kevin Jones injury status (can play from time to time, but cannot last a season) to the Joel Zumaya wing (just a matter of time before he misses a significant portion of the season).

It's too bad. I LOVE his attitude for the game.

It sucks, because he is so valuable to the team. Big difference with him on the field. He was the first safety drafted overall that year IIRC. Anybody end up better?

Malcom Jenkins was drafted 14th overall. He is a safety now but I'm not sure if N.O. drafted him for that reason.

Patrick Chung was drafted with the pick after Delmas. Advantage Delmas.

Jarius Byrd was 42nd overall.....I'd say he is pretty good. I'd take a healthy Delmas though.

Other than that.....some decent players....but nobody great.

By the way, that year we took Derrick Williams in the 3rd two picks BEFORE Pitt took Mike Wallace and nine picks before Baltimore took Lardarius Webb.

AWESOME!!!

Delmas wishes he was anything like Bob Sanders. Only thing they EVER had in common was their uncanny ability to get hurt.

Did anyone see how he got hurt? I saw he jumped the route on the screen pass and made the tackle. Is that where he got hurt or was it the run on the play after on that deep pass? Also, after he made the tackle on the screen pass, a offensive player for the seahawks fell on Delmas' knee for no reason (the play was over). Did anyone see that? Is that what caused the injury?

The TV commentators were saying they thought he hurt his knee making the tackle on the screen play, which is why he was a little late on the deep pass.

Ya but the commentators just guess a lot of the time bc they have to hurry up and say their opinion. Also, they might not have seen the guy fall on him after the tackle. I don't even know if he fell on him hard or not. It was off the screen sort of, I'm just curious if anyone did see it.
