The Lions and DT Akeem Spence have agreed to a reworked contract, according to ESPN insider Field Yates. Spence's base salary drops from $3.15 million to $2.575 million. He can recoup some of those cut wages, Yates reported, and this saves the Lions $500,000 in cap room. Spence had actually earned the now-reworked money in bonuses last year. It's an interesting decision by the Lions considering Spence played well for them last year and Detroit's only main addition at defensive tackle was Sylvester Williams. The team did draft defensive lineman Da'Shawn Hand last week.

That 2019 pick wasn't doing anything to help us in this season, now it is. We needed D line help and we did what we had to do to get it and people still complain? Most experts had Hand mid 2nd to 3rd round at latest and we got him in the 4th....

When the hell did i ever say i never complained? That was my initial reaction to the Walker pick and has really nothing to do with what we were talking about? I'm not criticizing you for not liking the pick, I'm questioning your reasoning behind not liking it because you lack the general knowledge. LKP even pointed out the trade value chart and it was an even trade basically. Imagine we hadn't made the trade, not had a 4th rounder and not have gotten Hand.... How would the draft look then? They did what they had to do and got a player of need that they liked... Never have I said you have to support every move and clearly I haven't. All you can say is shut up....

You don't know what I watched and what I didn't. I probably watched more Bama games this season than you did. They seemed to be on all the time here. I don't watch a whole lot of college, true - which is why I don't give many opinions on college guy. Position sure, but the player no. But Bama this season yes. And some Michigan. That's how I determined he wasn't worth a 4th and a 3rd.

All these experts like Hand because of his skill set. But they also would agree that he under-performed at Alabama.
