He is a bit small for a TE but should be a change up to the micro mini Edwards now that he is gone.

Don't forget, while he's been primarily listed as a TE in his career, he's played both TE and WR.

The assumption is that he was brought in to replace Sheffler, who may be out for the year if they IR him, but he was signed just before they cut Edwards. He may be used at WR in Detroit instead.

He's a pass catcher, not a blocker, so the idea of using his 6'2 frame with 4.4 speed at WR is obviously more appealing than an undersized TE with Fauria flourishing and Pettigrew turning the corner.

I wouldnt mind seeing him get put in an h back type role as well. With his speed catching swing passes as well as perhaps chipping an oncoming de would be an interesting wrinkle.
