Lions tendered contracts to restricted free agents OLB DeAndre Levy, DT Sammie Lee Hill and OT Corey Hilliard.
Levy has been tendered at the second-round level, while Hill and Hilliard drew original-round tenders. Levy is coming off a 109 tackle age-24 season, and figures to be a priority for the Lions. He could be an in-house candidate to take over at middle linebacker if Stephen Tulloch walks in free agency.

Kinda surprised Levy got the 2nd-round level tender while Hill got an original-round one. Figured it'd be reversed but w/e

There's only so much you can stock up on your D-Line alone, so it makes some level of sense. I'd be ok with losing them all though if it meant we got to keep Tulloch.

ya a 4th for hill is a steal but i also agree with golions.....im fine if all of them get picked up by other teams if it means we kept tulloch.

Why wouldn't they tender slh higher? Cw will be gone next season leaving just suh and fairley.

I believe the tender also places a min on contract amount, so cap space may have been a factor.

Yup. Its only about a $700,000 difference.

And why didn't Levy get the original one? Who the hell is paying a 3rd for him?

SLH could draw interest on the open market...dumb move , should have let Corey Williams go and saved the 5+ million and tendered SLH higher.

I couldn't agree more with this statement.
