Lions trade up to select Canadian OL Giovanni Manu

The Detroit Lions traded up unto the 4th round to select Canadian offensive tackle Giovanni Manu. The 6-foot-7, 352-pound Matu played collegiately at British Columbia.

The Lions traded a third-round pick in 2025 to land Manu, a Tongan native who came to Canada as a basketball player. Detroit did host Matu on a pre-draft visit.

He is the first Lions selection of Day 3.
