The Detroit Lions made themselves at home in Green Bay, clawing up the host Packers in a 24-14 road win in Week 9. It was an impressively thorough win for the Lions, who improved to 7-1 and picked up their second divisional road win in three weeks.
No pass rush, no problem. Steady rain in the cold on slick grass for a dome team, no problem. Under 250 yards of total offense, no problem. The Lions played smarter, sharper football on both sides of the ball and did a much better job overcoming adversity than the Packers, who fell to 6-3 with the loss.
