it's amazing that this continues to be a scandal, yet both of those hucksters continues to endorse buying (and selling) gold w/Goldline.

AND Hannity is still employed by Fox News...

AND to think some people honestly get their "news" and more accurately, "worldview" from these charlatans.

At least Rachel Maddow won't try to sell you on scam investments...

Gold is up almost $500/ounce since this two year old story surfaced.....bad investment for sure

Does anyone know where is a good place to buy small amounts of precious metals?

read the article, dickfore. they hawk "gold commemorative coins" at an insane markup and screw the people dumb enough to buy them... like people who watch Fox News and listen to Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity.

guess they know their target audience well, at least. fortunately there is "big government" in the form of district attorneys and states attorneys general to investigate and prosecute these frauds.

First: Do not listen to Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, or tsmith.

Second: read from this article:
If you buy gold coins or bars, make sure you store them in a safe place, such as a bank safe deposit box. Choose a reputable dealer at the American Numismatic Association Web site, www.money.org.
"Thanks MichChamp for doing my google for me..."

and if you're doing this as an investment, make sure you factor in the cost of your monthly safe deposit box fee, or the safe you buy when you weigh the potential return. and don't watch Fox News.

it is ironic that gold bullion (not the overpriced commemorative gold coins Glenn Beck wants you to buy) was a good investment in 2009 because there were (and still are) enough dumb Fox News viewers & Tea Partiers who believed Obama's "socialism" was going to ruin American credit and the value of the dollar, that they bought gold. the price of gold has been bid through the roof.

also ironic that in the event the economy and the dollar DID collapse, you won't actually have any goods or services available worth exchanging those gold coins you spent $1,000s for.

better to stock up on basic necessities. or learning some sort of primitive occupation that could serve others.

I plan to be a frontier lawyer, like old Abe Lincoln.

In the meantime all those dumb fox viewers are cashing in their profits from the purchases they made 3-10 years ago.....laughing a michchamp all the way to the bank. I for one have bought gold since my father urged me to do so starting in 1979.

I just like getting my niece some toys and some silver for Christmas and birthdays. As far as primitive occupations go, the Marines on the street have already told me I'm a part of their doomsday plan because I make the best beer. Plus, there's the power harvesting stuff.

hmmm... you will need someone to draft and review your brewery supply contracts.

I can be paid in beer.

gold will be worthless in a few years.....a pound of gold to buy a slice of bread.....

Oops. Now I've got gold ads on this page.

me too. and silver bullion.

I actually have a bit of silver at home.

have a bunch of Kennedy half dollars from the 60's. I took them to a coin shop and they confirmed those were the years they had silver in them. weren't worth much at the time, (he said I'd get $1.60/$1.75/coin) but that was when Bush was president and socialism hadn't yet ruined the dollar and driven up the price of silver.

Anyone else worried that Red is trying to get his hands on some Uranium-238, (possibly Uranium-235) Plutonium, and Lithium-6 deuteride?

All this doomsday talk...
