odd to see the Red Wings with a losing record this late in the season 13-7-7 and the 4th seed. What the hell happened? the Eastern conference jinx?

and only 5 teams in the East have a winning record with 2 at 500

The Red Wings have got their record back to .500 (14-7-7). 3rd in the Conference standings.

It's really all about the points though.

I'm very glad to see the Red Wings get to .500. It seems strange they have won 1/2 their games and are still quite competitive in the Eastern Conference, being tied for 3rd out of 16. In the simple rating system (SRS) on

the Red Wings are 5th of 16 in the East, but they would be 11th in the West, if compared to all Western teams.

I'm so tired of people looking at the OTL as actual losses. It's a fucking tie. You get one point. Points are what matters.
