so apparently this guy just died at 96
Apparently he was a bigger deal in the 70's... a former socialist who went off the deep end and became a John Birch like conspiracy theorist, except he remained nominally a democrat, and also had his own cult of followers around him. weird.
He was still putting out material as of a decade ago. i remember reading something his organization put out and looking him up.
suffice to say America is probably lucky he hit it big before facebook and twitter were around to help him reach more idiots.
