Kid will run a sub 14s 110m hurdles, has long jumped over 25 feet and high jumped 6-2. All of this at 6-3, 209lbs.

He's the only track athlete in the entire country that can say he's run better than 14.2 in the hurdles and LJed 25+ feet. I doubt a guy comes along every 10 years in track that can also HJ over 6 feet. To do so at well over 200 lbs is insane.

He's shown some good hands too, I know people are thinking DB, but this kid ends up at WR IMO.

I did all the same events in HS. The hurdle time and long jump would get him a state championship in pretty much any year. The high jump is not that impressive. I high jumped 6'2" my senior year and didn't even make it out of regionals(class A). I think the winning jump that year was like 6'10".

Those first two events are pretty amazing though. Especially that long jump.

edit: Just looked up last years class A finals and the state champs were 23' 0.75" long jump, 14.36 110 hurdles and 6'10 high jump. 2 feet better than anyone last year in the long jump....crazy!

We've been recruiting a lot of guys who also run track lately. DB Justin Williams ran a sub 10.50 100m in high school. TJ Harrell also is a track star having run 10.7 or better at over 210 lbs. RB Madre London helped his team to a state title in track. We've seen team speed improve, looks like it's going to get even better.

TJ Harrell is going to be a stud here too. He's got 4.4 speed and we've pegged him as a LB. Will be perfect to play the STAR in our system. If you went by offers, Harrell was one of the better players in the country.

Hurdles has always been the best indicator of football speed.

We're starting to get the ancillary benefits of the psu scandal, guys like Nicholson, terry, and Williams would be tougher to snag if psu was in a a better position

Agree, the fastest football player I have ever seen was Renaldo Nehemiah in the NFL, held the world record in the 110m hurdles for a while. The thing about hurdling is you have to overcome obstacles without breaking stride and accelerate between each hurdle.

Really love the speed were developing on defense. It seems we get faster with each new starter. T Jones is faster than Bullough, Waynes is faster than Denard, Williamson is faster than Lewis. Darien Harris is a very fast LB. Hicks and Cox have good speed. Calhoun and Cooper have excellent speed for DEs. The entire scheme we run on defense is based on speed, but also on knowing the scheme so you can play fast and utilize that speed. The defense wants to be the early 2000s Miami defenses and it's getting faster.

Also, don't forget Brandon Clemens from PA, was a big time recruit at DT.
