Official as of tonight. I work with a guy who is a friend of the Dantonio family. He claims that McDowell was the biggest p*ssy to ever play at MSU. The rib injury during the games was faked and he was not injured at the end of the year just chose not to play.
Either way, he was an absolute monster and you could clearly see that he was an nfl talent. Good luck to him. I'm confident he'll be a top 10 pick once GMs see him in action.

If that is true and I were a fan of MSU, I would say fuck you and good riddance!

If this is true about his attitude and he ends up being a high draft pick, he'll probably be the next Vernon Gholston.

I'm always skeptical of anecdotal attitude problems after a down season. McDowell is a great player and he's not so dumb as to think nfl scouts won't actually check on his injury history. Faking injuries, even if you get away with it, just makes scouts think you are injury prone.

Regardless, I wish him the best in the nfl. He certainly has the talent to be really good, and I appreciate all the domination he brought to this team.
