Remember the 12 year old who had a toy gun with the orange tip removed in the park and the cops zoom in with their car, with the one jumping out and opening fire immediately?

Yeah, the CPD is attempting to put the entire blame for that kid's death on the kid. Zero evidence of the cops providing any opportunity for the kid to put down the gun, just blasting away...but the entire fault belongs on the kid. I guess those cops are trained to drive into Point Blank range, as opposed to approaching with caution??? Don't allow suspects the opportunity to speak is normal police work in Cleveland?

Ugh...cops have a tough job, but it sure seems they are making it tougher on themselves. Especially when the PD defends the actions of a cop who failed to perform their job in a reasonably more safe manner.

That video doesn't look good. They rolled up and immediately opened fire. Why in the world would the driver drive within feet of the kid and put his partner and passenger in a position where he is right by him in a sitting position. That was stupid.

However, the opening fire wasn't really the worst part. The cop may have been justified in firing if the kid pointed something that looked like a gun in his direction. The big issue for me is why are they all standing around not trying to render any aid? They let the kid bleed out why they mulled around.
