What are y'alls opinion on him? And do you think he'll be there at 23?

Personally, I think he's gonna be a beast. Would love to have him in Honolulu blue.

I like Chandler Jones better. Better run defender and more powerful and with the DTs you have, you don't need the speed to turn the corner all the time with the DTs the Lions have and the wide 9. Heck half of Avrils sacks were him swiping the ball out still blocked.

Mercilus reminds me of Avril. Which isn't a bad thing but I want better run defending too.

Mercilus pops off the film in pass rush. He needs to work on his run support but he is adequate and people knock him too much. He has the one year wonder tag which is never good but the year was a great one and saved his best for the bowl. He had trouble with Glenn locking him out at the senior bowl practices. His nickname is 9 piece because he has 9 1/2 fingers from a weight room accident. He works tirelessly to provide for his Haitian immigrant parents. Super high ceiling but also low floor. Perry and Curry have a higher floor IMO but lower ceiling. Pretty much everything I know about him. Sorry for the bullet points.

Is he JPP 2.0 ??? if so, sounds great to me!

There is no JPP 2.0. But Perry is still good. I think he's a reach at 23, but if they trade back a few picks, he'd be nice value.

Out of all the pass rushers I like mercilus the best. He dominated last year against quality O-lines for the most part.

The more I think about the draft the more I think we go DE. One of them is gonna slide and that's who we draft. Hoping its Mercilus or Nick Perry even though USC players scare me. lol.

Upshaw or Coples may slide.

If thats the case who do you take? Wouldn't Upshaw be an OLB in our scheme?

I'd go with Coples his motor is questionable but he has the tools to be a DE freak. Upshaw can play 4-3 DE according to Saban, he'd be a DE with us. I'd take Ingram over both LP.

Mercilus reminds me of a little bit of JPP and Aldon Smith. Me likey...

Mercilus is a beast and will put up great numbers, especially for where he will likely be picked. I've seen late first round to early second round projections, which is great value for a man with his talents.

Coples would be a 100% lock if he fell to CHI. Ive wanted Mercilus since NOV when he was being mocked in the 3rd round and think he would do a much better job at DE than Avril and cost 10 mil less.

Mercilus to the Chargers....a little bird told me

I like Mercilus he makes plays. Also agree that Coples and Perry could both end up being better. But who knows its a crapshoot.

I really hope he slides. More of a pipe dream though. One of the DE's will slide and thats who we will draft IMO. Praying that its Mercilus though.

I wouldn't mind taking a DE. Our FO obviously has a good eye for them and can develop even a modicum of talent (Turk McBride, LoJack, Young).
