Dude takes THE WORST angles ever.

not knowing he had coverage on Jimmy Graham on Grahams TD was inexcusable....it was the exact same package Finley toasted him on last week...

New Orleans for sure saw that piece of film.

its good that you guys gave him a chance to improve....i jumped on him too soon admittingly last year. But he hasnt improved as some would have hoped. I still live by the rule that round 3-7 cbs you have better chances at winning the lottery than to find a gem in those rounds....switching positions couldnt have made it any easier. But ya that position needs to be improved. Delmas atleast knows where hes supposed to be and you can see him get pissed on the field when other guys arent where they are supposed to be....get a good compliment to him and we should be good to go at the safety position.

It's too bad too because coming out of camp, then into Preseason, and even in during the 5-0 stretch he seemed to have greatly improved based on what the coaches said and the plays being made many times. I guess teams finally saw enough film of him that they found his vulnerabilities and took full advantage. I also get tired of his arm and "launch the body but don't even try to wrap up" tackles that get broken or are complete whiffs. That's not counting his inability to cover guys. For a former CB, one would expect him to be better at covering WRs, but as I recall his strength in college was being able to bump the guy at the line and muscle himself into coverage. Impossible to do that as a S obviously.

Most people wanna upgrade the OL or CB and rightfully so but give me another S please!

Yeah Spievey has not improved especially in the second half of this season. Delmas made some big mistakes too in the game. Spievey needs competition for next year at least. But Lions may have bigger fish to fry at other positions and not alot of cap space to do it.

Spievey is a goddamn bum. He's basically Roy Lee Williams except he's a mediocre tackler as well.. I guess he would make an excellent special teams defender..
