Eagles waived C/G Mike McGlynn.
McGlynn held his own as a run blocker while filling in for Jason Jackson last season. He was expected to compete for a starting interior job at the beginning of camp, but was quickly passes by rookie and OL coach Howard Mudd favorite Jason Kelce. Sep 3 - 4:08 PM
Liked this guy a lot when he was coming out and hes someone who can play a few different spots on the O-Line and hold his own out there. I really don't know why Philly released him, but I don't really care. Now hes subject to waivers and we are in the middle of the list, but I will be disappointed if we don't at least put a claim in. I doubt we will get him, but hes a hell of a lot better then Gandy.
Also saw Donnie Avery was released and I doubt we would even be interested, but if hes healthy and has his speed back (which from what I've read he is and does) he could be a really nice pick-up for some team.
