Mittens campaign and Super Pacs have pulled all TV add's in Michigan and Pennsylvania , they now consider both states solid Obama.

Republicans signaled this week that they might have given up hope in two important swing states. The Romney campaign and conservative groups like Crossroads GPS have pulled TV ads in Michigan, Romney's home state, according to the Detroit News. Nor are the campaign and super PACs running advertising in Pennsylvania, after unleashing a barrage there over the past five months. The TPM PollTracker Averages show President Obama ahead 48.9 percent to 45.4 percent in Michigan, and in Pennsylvania, where he leads 49.9 percent to 41.4 percent

With the way the polls look in swing states right now, Romney is going to have to run the table to get elected. Politico uses the daily polls and it shows Romney up in 1 swing state(N.C.). He is down by more than 2% points in 4.

Tis a shame that I'll miss out on those ads. Tough to get a leg up in Philly though for Romney and Pittsburgh trends blue too. Even here in Lancaster where it's traditionally conservative, things are changing...I too would think it's a waste of money to air them here.

This also means down here in FL that we are going to get a ton of ads. I am sure most will be the same $716B from Medicare ones. Ohio will get a ton also, Mittens needs FL and Ohio just to have a chance.

 yup...Andrea Saul , one of Mittens advisors asked today by Wolfie Blitzer...Why pull out of Michigan and Pennsylvania ? " It was decided we would have a tough time winning in either state , so instead of throwing good money after bad we put our efforts into other more important swing states.

:lmao: glad to see Michigan isn't important.

I'll probably keep my voter registration in Wisconsin if these numbers hold.

Cutter doesnt work for Romney

When is the last time Michigan voted republican. He should have save his cash and stopped it months ago.

I was referring to POTS. The people in Detroit, high high % of Liberals vote far less in a Governor race. thank goodness.

The "liberals" in Detroit had little to do with it Mitch. It was because Granholm made such a mess everyone wanted to change. Bernero got less then 600,000 fewer votes, so it was not a case of the "libs" just deciding to stay home.

The fact is this is probably a huge mistake by Romney.

well, as someone who had believed that Obama was a lock MONTHS ago, since he's been as "malleable" to the needs to the wealthy and powerful as Bush Jr. was, I'm not surprised by this.

the whole idea that this race was going to be somehow competitive is maintained by a "politically correct" media that sells this illusion of a democracy to the rubes.

I'd go even further and say Romney was a fool for wasting his money & effort in this election, period. should've stayed out of it and tried in 2016.

The right should've run Pawlenty/Santorum or Herman Cain/Palin and let the hapless tea party element blow their wad, so that the GOP could re-tread and appear to be more "centrist" and have some momentum in '16. instead now, the extreme right can claim that the only reason they lost to Obama was because Romney didn't really represent "their interests." they'll continue to be a problem for the GOP into the foreseeable future.
