That game was an absolute grind and very intense in a great environment. Nebraska's defense was really impressive, we could have really used another shooter or 2 (Langford/Ahrens were out). They did a great job of forcing the shot opportunities to the players we don't need shooting. Goins and Tillman were catching the ball in rhythm from 3, but they simply aren't good 3 point shooters at all.

Winston took the game over and scored a career high 29, he's having a monster season. He was the reason we won.

Matt McQuaid was the other reason, he absolutely shut Palmer down most of the game. Palmer was 1-10 at one point and that was because McQuaid was suffocating him. Palmer canned a few garbage 3s, but McQuaid gave him fits. McQuaid shut down Edwards from Purdue the other day too, he's really become a defensive stopper.

Maryland at home Monday is up next, that's another huge game against a top 20 team.

The team is continuing to find ways to win but man we need to get healthy. The lack of scoring options available was apparent last night though they were able to manufacture just enough to get the win (or I should say Winston manufactured just enough). I fear at some point if we don't get the bodies back, Langford in particular, things are going to start to catch up with them.

Goins for all his hustle and work on the boards is killing them right now. Teams are starting to leave him open and sag onto other players and he's knocking down open jumpers at about a 25% clip. That's not going to get it done.
