Tum Tum gets the start over Trice?

Izzo says he wants Trice coming off the bench for offense.

Started a thread at the same time. But he hit a nice jumper! Hopefully he can keep it going.

finally caught up on DVR, happy with this so far.

High tempo should be the go to thing for this team. They seem much more comfortable when the game is at high pace.

Not to mention playing with a small lineup isnt conducive to a half court game, Up tempo and working the ball around to get good shots is a must this year

It also helps that IU can't guard anyone

Or make a shot to save their lives...

They didn't shoot well but we had a lot do with that, they took a lot of late clock contested 3's. our switching was really good and we closed out well, I know Blackmon missed a few that he usually makes, i remember one run out where Tum had to move to the shooter and leave Blackmon in the corner and he missed but overall that was a very good defensive game.

Yogi Ferrell missed a bunch as well - the whole team shot poorly. I didn't watch the whole game but from what I saw, we defended well but IU didn't have too much trouble getting open looks.

In general teams have a hard time getting open shots against MSU, we're holding teams to 36% from the floor and somewhere in the 20's from 3. Our weakness is that our man to man is so aggressive that we pick up fouls and lose games at the line, Maryland is a perfect example of that. I think this is one of Izzo's best defensive teams, especially with Dawson playing well since he can switch with anyone, Valentine can switch 4 spots easily. I saw him get switched on to Yogi and hold his own. If we just had a real rim protector this team would be nasty on defense, we'd also have better help defense and wouldn't have to hand check as much on the perimeter
