9pm tonight in Annapolis Maryland, Navy is coached by former PSU coach Ed Dechellis. they return 5 starters from a team that went 9-21 last year. Javon Bess is out for MSU, most likely starting Trice, Ellis, Valentine, Dawson, and Costello.

sloppy and bad communication on defense, dawson lost his man a few times.

Outside of the turnovers(10) and the fact we didn't get a single free throw, it wasn't a horrible 1st half. Clark looks good.

ankle injury early in the first half, looked bad. with bess out and Ellis hurt we're playing Forbes who has a broken bone in his hand, can't do what he normally does

Valentine and Dawson have both been terrible, Izzo sat them for a long stretch there

I think Dawsons last basket was around the 8 minute mark in the first half

One or more of our best players goes down every year, if Valentine or BD go down its no tourney. There really is no "go to" player. Losing Kaminsky was brutal

Hey, it's a road win, lol.

Surprised at the poor game by Valentine given the praise heaped upon him in the pre-season. I expect he'll play better going forward. The problem is neither he nor Dawson are really go to scorers but are going to have to be, despite Trice's output yesterday.

They need more out of Costello and depth is already a concern.

Is Ellis out? Sucks to have all three shooting guards on the team injured...that's rough. Looking forward to the Duke game.

If it gets bad enough they can play Nairn and Trice together or slide Denzel to the backcourt and play big.

I guess more minutes for the two healthy freshmen. The somewhat good news is that we wouldn't beat duke at full strength anyway so this likely won't cost us a loss
