It was a kickstarter project. They updated all 7 games so they work on modern hardware. I'm not sure if the earlier titles weren't previously updates, but now they all are.

I bought the first version of MYST for my younger brother's 30th birthday, but I've never been a gamer except for having been very good @ pool, pinball and foosball.
