Harris is awful. I mean just fucking awful. There is no way he's a lottery pick.

Get StartedThat was pathetic. I guess this solves the argument about whether or not MSU without the injuries is one of the best teams in the country. Mediocre teams don't lose to Nebraska at home.
Harris is a joke. Fucking awful. Izzo is even a bigger joke for allowing him to do whatever the hell he wants the whole game. He consistently takes low percentage shots the whole season, sit his ass down.
Sometimes teams just have a horrible night. Look at the 99-00 team. They lost to an 11 win Wright St team. Hell, Wright St lost to CMU by 30 that year. That team did aright.
We've got plenty more good wins than bad losses. This loss really sucked, but this team isn't as bad as they played today.
They didn't lose to Wright State in mid-February. Georgetown and Nebraska were horrible losses, at wisco was a bad loss. The michigan loss is starting to look worse every time Michigan takes the floor and while we're at it, the Iowa win is losing some of its luster as well. They scored 51 at home against Nebraska - they'd be lucky to put up 35 against Arizona anywhere playing like that.
I'm not saying they suck but they are 3-4 in their last 7 w/ 2 home losses and have struggled at home all B1G season. Only the homerest of homers would say that's not concerning...
I agree. Final Four and Championship contenders do not lose to terrible teams like Nebraska and Georgetown.
I can deal with the others, down two starters, etc. Todays problems go beyond being without dawson and not having appling close to being himself. We should have scored 70 without them.
It's hard to score 70 when Harris takes the most shots and they're all bricks. We need to get back to playing through Payne down low.
With 2 minutes to go we went from 7 down to 2 and Izzo took a timeout. I thought that was a bad timeout and of course Harris came out and bricked it and Nebraska got a 3. The crowd was going nuts I thought we had them there, Izzo killed all the momentum.
There was a point late in the game (around 3 minutes maybe) where MSU was within 2, with momentum, got a defensive rebound and Payne tried to force a fairly well contested layup in transition.
It was sort of a tweener effort by Payne. He sort of laid it up after taking flight like he was going to dunk it. He almost could have dunked it too, but it would have probably been charging if ha had. He ended up missing the contested layup and Nebraska got the defensive rebound and two quick points. Huge momentum shift.
I really thought they should have just eased up the transition and set up the offense in that situation. Nebraska looked gassed, on were and their heels a bit.
That moment seemed like a microcosm of the game to me. Poor execution and tentativeness all wrapped up in a bad decision.
A lot of people are saying that this team, when healthy, is capable of beating anyone in the country. That may be true, but there are enough off nights on their resume now that also show that they are capable of losing to nearly anyone as well.
