But still... no real use for an AR-15 for the average Joe, except to kill other people. If you're in a "well-regulated militia" you could probably have one. So why does an upper-middle class Connecticut housewife with a mentally deranged son need several? And high-capacity magazine? again... no need for that unless you're on a battlefield.

The reporting in the trib is obviously less than fully informative. It did make the gun nuts upset, as evident from the comments (not that they have anything legitimate to gripe about). I also don't get why they seem so self-satisfied for getting into semantics over the terms used in the article: did a half-dozen firearms, swords, spears, knives, etc. count as an "arsenal"? WHO CARES?
