Fowler measured out pretty well at 6-1, 217 lbs with 9.5" hands. Ran an unofficial 4.48 forty, if he does well in the rest of the drills he might have worked himself into a mid to late round pick.

He deserved an invite. Not sure if he'll make it in the NFL, but he is certainly tough enough and fast enough.

Fowler ended up with a 4.52 official time, I think that might be enough to get him drafted.

Hmm. Bennie Fowler might have gotten himself into the 4th or 5th round with a nice combine. 6-1, 217lbs, 4.52 forty, 36" vert. His 10-6" broad jump was 5th overall.

He's been working out with Sammy Watkins and says he's even with him at most things. Watkins was .1 faster in the 40, but did not jump as well as Fowler. Both are 6-1, but Fowler was 6 lbs heavier.

Dennard just ran a 4.42u in the forty. Solid top 12 pick now. His film is better than Gilberts, similar size, Gilbert is a little faster having run a 4.35u. Dennard has better instincts and much better hips IMO.

Bullough really helped his stock this combine. Was the strongest of all the LBs with 30 reps, 2nd fastest MLB at 4.78, 31" vertical. His 3 cone drill was one of the bests of the MLBs and about the same as Borland. Bulough might have snuck into the 3rd or 4th round.

I think the only question at this point is what drugs did he test positive for, but i don't really care, he did something dumb and got suspended. we won the rose bowl and he'll play in the NFL, everyone's happy

i haven't ruled out academic impropriety. I have to admit I'm still curious - and impressed they could keep it a secret so long. I'm sure it will come up again if he gets much pre-draft attention.

Lewis ran a 4.60 official. Middle of the pack for safeties. He did fairly well in other categories and has a better than 50/50 chance of going in the late rounds. Physically, he looks like a beast.
