the one thing I respect Chris Webber for was him foregoing millions of dollars in endorsement money from Nike because they wouldn't lower the price of their shoes. Although I can afford it, I'll never pay $120 for a pair of sneakers and contribute to that nonsense.

I agree with you for the most part and do try to be socially conscious when i spend my money but occasionally i just say fuck it and get what i really want.
 
It's your money - you should do with it what you please. I overpaid when I got my Nike coaches sideline shirt for full price. If the shoes ever hit the clearance rack on East Bay, i'll spend $40 or $50 bucks to see my wife roll her eyes at yet another ugly pair of sneakers I bought on the cheap.
