No Thread on the Michigan Proposals?

I'm somewhat surprised by the lack of conversation about proposals up for a vote.

I took the time this week to review them and decide which way I was going to vote. I was interested to hear a report that suggested that Proposal 1 is the only proposal that has enough support to win (who knows if this is accurate it is just what I heard).

I would be interested to hear opinions just to see what people think about them, or to see if anybody is even following them at all. Frankly I'm surprised 3 doesn't have more steam. It is hard for me to come up with a reason why somebody would vote it down unless you 1. live in a rural area or 2. are a shareholder in DTE.

It's probably because these proposals and commecials are confusing as hell. You have too many special interest groups spewing hyperbole about them all. You'd probably be better off if you just watched the commercials, figured out which group is trying the hardest to get you to vote their way and then just do the opposite.

I know Governor Snyder has said....say Yes to 1 and No to all the rest.

That's what I did. "Yes to 1 and No to all the rest". Right or wrong, they have too many and all confusing as hell. Though I heard Florida has like a dozen props.

Normally these proposals aren't very difficult. I voted yes on 1 and 3. I had to read these things over and over and still have no idea if I did the right thing. I was watching 5 minutes of a sunday political show this morning and the one guy was even saying that normally legislators have a staff to go through all of this stuff and now we want voters to figure it out on their own. I haven't seen anything yet that clearly defines this year's proposals. I need a fact checker for these things.

This is very true. I know Matty Moroun wants me to say yes to 6 and DTE wants me to say no to 3.

Proposals 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 all defeated.

Prop 1 too close to call.
