One shining moment...

Thanks for sharing, great memories. My wife (girlfriend at the time) had the world's worst seats in the first half, so bad I was thinking of going to a bar for the second half. We had some friends in the lower bowl with great seats, there was one open a row behind them and one a few rows over. They asked the people if we could have the seats so we snuck down almost Courtside for the second half. Just a great team and great season.

I was at the Tin Lizzy with Beck. His uncle (I think) kept coming on to my girlfriend the whole game lol. Chappell hitting that 3 right after Cleaves was hurt was the best. I really thought we would have players out on the court last year when this song was playing. Having all the tools but not staying healthy cost us another one of these. Last year still bothers me a bit, Im usually over a season the second its over. the 1999-2000 team was so much more fun to watch than any others post 2000.

I remember calling you guys, it was so loud there.

Last year still hurts, it will piss me off forever. I wasn't pissed when we lost the title game to UNC, they were better. I was pissed with Butler because it was a great chance to win it all but we were very lucky to be there and weren't close to the best team in the country. Last year I think we were the best and if Appling was even 80% it wouldn't have been close. Those chances don't come around very often

If Tum Tum can learn to shoot the ball a little before next season I think there is a good chance that MSU will be one of the best teams. Schilling is improving a lot and with Harris eligible and the guy from Muskegon coming in, that's a loaded team.

How many years does Harris have?

Erron sits out one to play 2, Deyonta Davis really flew up the charts and will be a difference maker on defense. If we can land Swanigan I could see next year as a possible title contending team. there are a lot of IF's but we'd have the talent to do it.

Next year's team should be at least Sweet 16 good. I would stop short of calling them loaded. Losing Trice and Dawson will be no small thing. If the Swanigan kid joins up, that's a nice front-line, but it would be asking a lot of Davis. He is promising but last I saw he'd probably need to add quite a bit of strength to be a major factor right away. They would certainly have options on the wings. PG would be the question. Either Nairn improves a lot or Denzel will have to show that he can be a full-time PG (which he might get the opportunity to do, particularly for his NBA stock).

Harris is practicing at PG, i don't know what his floor game looks like but he's a heck of an offensive player. he averaged 17 per game at WVU and he was the primary option there, also shot 42% from 3 for the season

i like Schilling, but if he can't hit his free throws, he's nothing more than a worthless bum who can't play the last 10 min of a close game.

he's far from a worthless bum, he may be the best at defending ball screens that I've seen at MSU. the game is becoming more and more dribble drive and his defense is a key. he's shooting 68% from the floor which has to be tops in the big ten, of course he only dunks and makes short hook shots but he's not giving us a lot of empty possessions. 4.4 boards in 18 minutes is good but could improve, he just turned 19 last month as a sophomore, his game is a bit of a work in progress but he's far from worthless.

Hands down the biggest disappointment this season is Ellis, I predicted he would lead the team in scoring since I thought he would be the starter at the 2. He has completely shut down and seems like he doesn't care about basketball. I think he played 2 minutes last game...

thats a lot of speculation, Izzo said that he's been great in practice for the last 10 days and he's working very hard. I have my doubts that Ellis is a MSU player, he could transfer or become Isiah Dahlman, but I wouldn't question his attitude or work ethic. Izzo also said that missing 6 weeks of practice really set him back

He does seem primed for a transfer
