I don't really know what to believe about the Osama (or Usama? they were never consistent) Bin Laden raid/death anymore.

The official story has changed so many times; and now that Seymour Hersh story suggests the whole thing was a farce, with Pakistani intelligence knowing he was in Abottabad the whole time.

Initially he was armed and shooting back, taking women and children hostage when the SEALS killed him. Then there were no women and children, but he was armed. Then he was not armed, just chilling there. Now he may have actually been a bed-ridden invalid when killed.

They just started with the same story about that ISIS leader being killed.

I think the Pentagon has Michael Bay or some other Hollywood hack write the first version of their press releases for these things. if the public and press buy it, great. If not, they can always dial it back in "subsequent reports."
