He isnt doing well at all and has been given last rites.

Its sad the way his career ended. the man is a true legend. You really wish he had stepped down a year or two ago. I do think that coaching may have been the thing keeping him going and with that gone it doesnt surprise me that his health went down hill.

well it was predicted without coaching life would be short, then throw in his cancer and the injuries of past few years

unfortuantely sad way to go - wonder if the cancer was a bit more than they made it out to be
 
wow.

figure the Sandusky episode probably took a toll on the old man, but he must've been aware the grand jury had been going on all last winter... can't image he was actually blindsided by it.

and the allegations had been out there for years.
