I cant remember another draft class that has been this good. Ziggy seems to be developing and he will just get better. Slay needs work but made some nice plays today. Warford has been one of the best rookies in the NFL. We ripped the Martin pick but he has been a great punter except for the last punt of the Cinci game. And Taylor has been playing great at times. Not to even bring up the two UDFA guys in Fauria and Waddle who have been big part of this team.

Do we dare say that Mayhew had a great draft? Seems weird saying it, it's too bad he didn't hit on the receiver we drafted though.

Mayhew has done a fantastic job with this team. Are there holes? Hell ya, but its a work in progress.
Look at the weaknesses. There isnt too many.....still need to work on that secondary is the biggest concern. Shore that up .....look out.

In the draft:

1. CB
2. LB
3. C
4. WR
5. k

This is rounds 1-5 btw

targeting positions by round is a terrible way to draft. If the best available CB left in the first round is rated as a late 2nd round talent you would still pick him? Filling needs is one thing but you can't pass up great value or over pay just so you can take a position in a specific round.

I don't see LB as a need with Tulloch and Levy playing well and locked up long term. The 3rd LB hardly sees the fall and Palmer does a good job in run D.

agreed...3rd lb is typically a db nowadays anyways. Next years draft Is shaping up to be a lot of DE, CB, OL and WR in rd 1. Where we'll be drafting I can see us going for someone like Mike Evans.

Another nice big receiver with speed. Two deep threats with this offense would be so amazing. A stud slot guy would be awesome too but Mayhew can't seem to find one that isn't crazy or injured.

Another draft/undrafted class like 2013 would be amazing especially with a WR, future Center and kicker in that mix.
