Paul Kruger got paid what?!

Paul Kruger - LB - Browns

Browns agreed to terms with OLB Paul Kruger on a five-year, $41 million contract.

It reportedly includes $20 million guaranteed. It's a generous haul for a four-year veteran with just 15.5 career sacks, but probably not what Kruger had in mind before the start of free agency. Kruger will line up opposite OLB Jabaal Sheard in new DC Ray Horton's attacking 3-4 defense. Kruger's signing leaves Cliff Avril as the lone remaining pass-rushing jewel on the open market.

This is cheap. I thought he would get over 10 mil per. Cliff turned down a 3yr 30mil contract with us and made it sound as if he was insulted by it.

Damn Ravens just lost Ellerbe to Miami. Their defense is gonna be in huge trouble.

were going after all the wrong people...u mean to tell me we couldn't have paid him 9 mil?

The Ravens have lost some serious talent this year. Birk and Bolden on offense. Ray Lewis, Ellerbe, Kruger among others on defense.

I knew the Ravens would be in trouble when I heard that Flacco was going to make $20mil/yr.

Mhughes free agency logic at its finest

Scenario #1 - 26 year old guy who's averaged 8 sacks and 3 forced fumbles a year over the course of his 5 year career

Mhughes take - he's garbage and should only get 6-8 mill a year. anything more is retarded and you're an idiot.

Scenario #2 - 27 year old guy who's averaged 3.8 sacks and 0.25 forced fumbles a year over the course of his 4 year career

Mhughes take - dude, wft???? we're going after all the wrong guys!??? why couldn't we afford to pony up 9 mill per for this guy!??????? what a bunch of assholes!

keep up the good work, captain. . . :hmm:

It's not all about sacks you idiot. Avril was great at sacks unfortunately he couldnt tackle anything else. Teams ran delays and draws at him because they knew he wouldnt be anywhere near the RB. You can blame the wide 9 which is some of it but you can also blame the player who at some point should get a fucking clue when he is let free that maybe they are running a draw or a screen.

and the above post goes to prove how big of a fucktard you are. it is absolutely about sacks in our system you goof. downplay the wide 9 all you want but Avril, to go along with all of our Dends, are never asked to even regard the run unless its a heavy run down. that's on the LB's. go spill your drivel somewhere else.

you were obviously playing barbies instead of watching the playoffs. Kruger dominated. Hes much better than Avril ever will be. Avril was asking 11+ mil....which I said in no way id want. Kruger for 8 mil would be a steal. Avril for 8 mil I woulda probably kept too eventhough I think he sucks.....but we have 0 DEs. Twist words some more.

and when it is a heavy run down they get blasted off the ball or tossed up the filed 15 yards. If its all about sacks in our offense....welp....9.5 isn't very many when you have two first ound picks eating up blocks on the inside. He wasn't good last year and he wasn't worth what he was asking.

Avril gets alot of "garbage " sacks....QB falls down and he just happens to be the 1st guy to touch him...happened a couple of times...and 3 or 4 others where Suh scared the shit out of a QB and he ran right into Avrils arms.

dude is a 1 trick pony...run right by the QB and hope he either falls or Suh chases him to your open arms.

Are you drunk? Not the logic, the belligerence.

At some point you cant blame the wide 9 for every missed tackle or blown assignment. The DE still has some contain responsibility and I would rather have a good player vs run and pass than a great pass rusher who sucks bad vs run. And if memory serves me correct Cliff wasnt that great vs run before we went to the wide 9.

cliff was barely 240 lbs before the wide 9.....he was getting tossed like a rag doll. Not much changed since then.

I think hes wasted....seems like he didn't even realize that wasn't me that responded to his ignorant post lol.

That's what I was thinking. Fucktard? Wheels? What has he ever done to anyone?
