Interesting the average points lost by for the entire league was 11.55 PPG

Lions were 7th best with 7.75 PPG lost behind only New England(2.75), Seattle(4.8), Pittsburgh(5.37), Atlanta (6.33), Washington(7.33) and Denver (7.33).

Yep, we don't know how to win. All those other teams listed would of taken some of those close losses the lions had and turned them into wins.

The -16 turnover differential didn't help. Lions should have been nowhere close to only 7.75 PPG per loss but that's how talented the offense is at least. And thats with major injuries at WR/TE/speed RB, DT, number 2 CB and safety. They have the talent to beat anybody they just need to stop shooting themselves in the foot.

The Lions won't lose 16 fumbles next year and I doubt Stafford will have 17 picks (11 were his fault this year).

Plus the 6 turnover TDs and 4 special teams to 0 forced/returned for the Lions was the worst in the league by far. -10 nobody was even close to that. The 2009 Lions were -1 in that department, 2010 Lions were even and 2011 Lions were +1. -10 won't happen again in 2013.

Well off the top of my head I can think of 3 meltdowns which we lost which was the Green Bay game, Houston game, and Indy game. If I'm remembering right we also blew the other Green Bay game. Throw in the Tennessee game which still makes no sense to me and theres the reason we won 4 games. With the moves they made, and the right additions in the draft and FA we will have a shot again next year, but if we can't finish games we will be looking at another 6 win season.

We can finish games. We didn't in 2012 but we can finish games. The Green Bay game should have never come to a last second Randall Cobb TD with 2 min left. The pick 6 off Schefflers hands allowed that to happen.

Houston game, the Pettigrew OT fumble and it goes the other way. He's never lost a fumble befor this year. Same with the Titan game. Besides the 2 special team Tds, Lions were driving down 7 and Pettigrew gave up the fumble for another 7. Bears game at home they got 16 off turnovers, at Chicago we were in their redzone three times and turned the ball over. Vikings game 2 special teams TDs holding their O to 6 points.

It was clearly obvious the Lions were much much much better than a 4 win team but they shot themselves in the foot with turnovers. The Colts game was the only time it was prevent defense failing them. If it happens again Schwartz will be fired. If it doesn't, the Lions will win alot of games.
