If beating MSU is worth 11 spots for michigan (21st to 10th) how is it that we fall 4 spots and behind a 4 loss Kansas team? Not saying michigan doesn't deserve to be #10 but KU is the only ranked big12 team that doesn't have 2 or more losses in conference. If you weren't already skeptical of these BS polls, you should be by now.

They have their flaws for sure, good thing the selection committee will take these losses with a grain of salt

Yep, and Florida and SDSU are being slotted based on having beaten Kansas.

I love the mid majors as much as anyone but Wichita State and SDSU aren't top 5 teams.

Not sold on SDSU but I've been on the Wichita State bandwagon since December 2012. The one I can't figure out is Iowa State - tough start to Big 12 play but still think they're gonna contend for the b12 title. Hoiberg is maybe the best coach (maybe not recruiter) in that conference.

Don't forget....UM beat then #10 Iowa and then #3 MSU.

Beating three consecutive Top-10, in-conference programs (two of them on road) is extremely rare. I think that's the reason what M jumped from 21 to 10.

Agreed - I have no problem with UofM jumping 11 spots and being ranked 10th and I've said as much, or MSU falling 4 spots (perhaps I misspoke), so much as MSU falling behind a 4 loss KU team.

It could be also be pent-up voting combined with the failures of teams ranked ahead. MSU football climbed gradually than suddenly in the BCS and other polls.

Polls cost msu a shot at the national title in fb. If we started at 10, then the osu game may have been 2 vs 4 and we would have jumped auburn.

Polls are bs but thankfully the selection committee detrrmines where msu goes

my biggest problem with it is that UM beat a depleted State squad and jumped that much while State dropped like they had played at full strength. there was no accounting for the situations in which they played.

not a huge deal, just a little surprised by it all.

Was there a post complaining about where UofM was in the poll?
