Quinn: drafting a qb every year is good football business

Every backup QB they named in that article is pretty much dogshit lol. So how is that good business again? Completely disagree that its "good football" business to draft a QB every year.

Wow. What a novel concept. One that a lot of us board members have been preaching forever and a decade.

And what team is sending a 1st rd pick for Garapopolalolol anyways? Lol. I'll eat my shoes if that happens....

I still want Dan O gone, its a slap in the face that he ever got another chance in Detroit, lol. If that means picking up qbs every year in the later rounds or as undrafted fas, so be it.

Nothing wrong with it. Doesn't have to be a high ranked guy and I agree with why Orvlosky? If we can't get a better backup than him we're doomed..

Drafting a QB every year (and a shitload of luck) is how you find a Tommy Brady in the 6th round.

More often though, it's how you get a team to give you a higher round pick than the one you gave up for a backups that had a few good garbage time outings.

In fact, forget Brady.. I'd be happy if we found a Steve Bono in that mess.

I'd be happy with a newer, improved version of Matthew J Stafford.

Wouldn't that be John M Stafford. Or even J Matthew Stafford.

I'm not sure I agree drafting a QB every year, but every couple I agree with for sure. I think you always need a young drafted QB on the roster.

Doomed from what?

Just saying you should always try to improve your team, even a backup. And no they won't save us if Matt gets injured but maybe win a game or two..

And maybe they land that 1 in a million ..

Improving your team? Agreed, but using the word doomed is completely dramatic.

Well, he said every year or every other year. I don't have a clue about how I feel about this. We never draft QB's so it's pretty new to me. I would rather find a diamond in the rough that can play on the field from day one. Seems like the good teams do better in the lower rounds of the draft. A lot of late rounders and UN drafted FA's playing in the Superbowl last year.

It's a position like any other. Not having a strong 2nd or 3rd option is silly.

We've been gambling on Stafford staying healthy ever since Shaun Hill left. It past time to be looking for a serviceable backup
