interesting move. any chance the Tigers try to pick him up again, and do we actually want to? i honestly wouldn't mind given the state of our bullpen and the flashes of good pitching he's shown on occasion.

I'd grab him. Bevis was annoying when he couldn't throw strikes, but when he's on his slider is every bit as wicked as Alberquerque's.

Not to mention it would mean we got a piece of the Iggy trade back.

They might as well try to reaquire Villareal, their potential BP has one or two RH pitchers who might very well bomb out @ this point, one more warm body to compete for a spot in ST. He pitched to all of one batter last season, after being traded, and BBed him on 4 straight pitches, causing the winning run to cross the plate. Guess that was all the Red Sox needed to see of him on the mound.

They signed ex-Indian OFer Grady Sizemore to a one year contract for $750K that could increase to as much as $6M with incentives, who hasn't played since '11, becoming oft-injured and having no less than 7 surgeries for various ailments since '09. I remember the frequently heated arguments on the ESPN MLB General boards over who was the better CF, Sizemore or Granderson.

Obviously Curtis had more healthy and productive seasons to come, except for much of last season when he played in only 61 games.
