Hearing Michigan State R-Jr Russell Byrd is seriously contemplating leaving. #IPFWmbb makes great sense in a million ways.

Byrd is Fort Wayne native and #IPFWmbb is in need of 3-4 man immediately. Byrd could be eligible immediately upon graduation.

Well it opens a scholarship for next year, now as long as we can fill it with talent. Maybe find a 5th yr senior that can come right in and play.

Truth be told, I was holding out hope that something would finally click with him and he'd be a valuable player. All those injuries just seemed to set him back so far. Bummer

Too bad for him but he wasn't a big ten caliber player. He had a few great camps in hs so he got offers from msu, Michigan, and uk. Hopefully he tears it up.

In all seriousness I do hope he transfers, it will benefit both him and MSU, best of luck to him if he does choose to go elsewhere

Most of the stuff I've been reading suggests that Byrd will likely come back and that Gauna is the one likely to transfer.

No word on Dawson and Harris?
If it is Gauna that's good, he belongs in division 2.

I don't know when the deadline is but Dawson and Harris have a little bit of time. I've read stuff that Harris supposedly loves college life but given he seems certain to be drafted in the top 12 I'd be absolutely shocked if he came back. Dawson probably has a lot of things to consider with his decision and I would imagine that will take a little time to sort out.

izzo said in an interview that he's inclined to tell Harris to go and ask Dawson to stay, he's going to talk to GM's and agents on their behalf
