Wow Marvin Clark is impressive! He can do it all. This years team is so much more fun to watch than previous years. The ball is constantly moving. Appling used to take the air out of the ball way too much. Really excited to get Bess and Ellis back.

Also Dawson is out tonight with the flu.

I know it's not a tough opponent, but this is the best brand of basketball we've played in years, the ball movement is great, the defense is tough, and the rebounding is Spartan like.

And Clark has really impressed me all year, kid is a beast and a little better athlete than I thought he was, he can shoot the three. These freshman sure don't look like lower rated guys, they look like blue chips to me. Bryn Forbes is also a nice addition. The entire team looks like they live to pass the ball, that is fun to watch.

Looks like they're down a few players too.

Imagine if forbes didn't get the waiver. Who the hell would we be playing at the 2?

Tum really needs to finish at the rim. Teams are going to figure out that he drives the lane and always dishes.

Clark and Schilling really impressed me tonight. Costello on the other hand is an absolute bum offensively, if we get 6 points a night from him I will be satisfied.

Scary to think about.

I honestly believe wallenman is a better player than Costello. Schilling showed a little something today, didn't see that coming at all. We shoot a lot of threes, they're all wide open though. As sbee mentioned it's not a great opponent but the game seems very smooth with the passing.

The ball movement looks good given there are so many new pieces to the puzzle. Im not upset at the way we are playing this early in the season, losing Kaminsky is still a killer. I thought Costello showed some bright spots under the bucket and some nice blocks last year, He isnt playing like I thought he would.

The same guy who will be starting ahead of Forbes when he returns from injury, Alvin Ellis. Forbes needs to learn how to guard someone to start for Izzo all year.

And Jevon Bess is supposed to be the beat of the three freshman.

I meant given the injuries now, I we didn't have Dawson, ellis, bess, or forbes.

after the game Izzo said that Kenny Goins is most likely going to redshirt, that's why he's not playing. We had to play Denzel up 30 late because we were down 3 guys, he did go down and it was a scary moment, could have been disastrous

a few takeaways

1 Schilling will eventually start, he's a good garbage guy on offense and he's big and strong and plays like it. I think he'll get 25 minutes to Costello's 20

2 Valentine is still careless with the ball, i'm not sure what it's going to take to get through to him. I love the no look passes and maybe he did get a little loose up 30 but he was the same way against Duke. He tries to be too flashy and also seems to want to force things

3 Trice is an excellent PG, I don't care who you're playing but an 8 to 1 assist to turnover ratio is excellent. I expect him to be 2nd team all conference at worst
