I was in the Navy at the time 9-11 happened. I was station on Naval Subase Bangor, just outside of Seattle, Washington.

I woke up that morning in my barracks. I come down to go to my building and notice a blip of the news on a lounge TV. So, I was just thinking, maybe it was just your run of the mill tragedy. Like the Flight 255 near Detroit MEtro in the 80s.

I go to my building and everybody in glued to the TV there in the lounge and we all watch as the 2nd tower is hit. We immediately knew that we were at war. the base went from Threatcon Alpha to Delta in a matter of moments. Nobody on or off the base.

Hey Champ, this is supposed to be a memorial thread for those we lost on 9/11. I can't/won't stop you from posting what you did on this thread, but if you're going to attack the response to 9/11, start a new thread, please. At least that way you won't be hijacking this one.

I put the WWE in there because they were the first group gathering since 9-11. and as many of u know the WWE is a big supporter of the Armed Forces with many of them being Vets or family of vets.

During Wrestlemania 19, the Undertaker came out on his bike with a huge american Flag on the back in a tribute to his real life nephew who was stationed in Afghanistan at the time.
