Per Rotoworld:

NFL draft insider Tony Pauline has heard from a "number of people" that there is "serious concern" about Texans OLB Jadeveon Clowney's surgically repaired knee.
Pauline cites "numerous sources, including those close to the Texans" when cautioning to "not expect much" from Clowney in 2015. "He may struggle to ever regain full health from the microfracture surgery," Pauline writes. As of late January, Clowney could bear no weight on his knee. He also had the knee scoped before his microfracture, in addition to sports hernia surgery last June. Clowney appeared in only four games as a rookie.

What a bust. Overrated since Rivals called him nations #1 overall HS player and he went to SC.

One missed blocking assignment after a game of being dominated by Lewan and the ESPN hype machine ruined this slacker.

His entire career was built on one amazing blowup tackle behind the line, and the hype was watching a helmet fly across the field.

He was overrated at #1. Still hate to see a guys career in jeopardy like that, but he didn't deserve the pick.

Between he and Manziel you couldnt turn on ESPN witout hearing their names multiple times whether they were playing that day or not. I swear those idiots at ESPN just liked saying his last name...

I think Clowney was still a pretty good college player, but no doubt about it that hit on Smith was what blew his stock through the roof. I hate calling guys who get hurt and ruin their careers "busts" but even if this injury doesn't plague his career he just doesnt have the talent of a number 1 overall pick IMO.

Clowney
Fisher
Luck
Cam
Bradford
Stafford
Long
Russell
M Williams
A. Smith

Last 10 #1 overall draft picks. The only one of the bunch that is really good is Luck. The rest have been OK

Wow, when put in perspective, that a pretty stark eye opener.

Cam, when he's healthy, has been a force... but sometimes the dark side of the force. Fisher got beat like a rented mule, but we will see if he improves.. it was one year.

Stafford has been above average and below average, so I'd say he's about where Cam is.

Everything else on that list is less than inspiring. Luck has been the only player truly worth that #1 pick.

Mario Williams has been really good too.
