DT Samie Lee Hill reached agreement on a three-year, $11.4 million deal, including $4 million guaranteed with the Titans.

One of my favorite mid draft picks this team has made. Sucks to see him go but he could end up being a solid piece as a starter.

Sammie Lee Hill - DL - Titans

Titans signed DT Sammie Lee Hill to a three-year, $11.4 million contract, with $4 million guaranteed.

Hill is 26 years old and entering his fifth year out of Stillman. While he's flashed potential and certainly possesses some upside, Hill is a bit of a misfit as a 6-foot-4, 329-pound interior tackle whose strength is penetrating the pocket. He's weak against the run. The Titans have doled out numerous big contracts over the past 24-26 hours. We're just not sure they've gotten much better.

I'm glad for him. Always good to see someone from a small school get a chance to start and make good money. I thought he was better for the role we had for him but i hope he shows up big for tennessee

Lions should bring Corey Williams back. He won't be more than that number.

seems like they are getting rid of guys who they feel are not very good vs run...FINALLY!!! it's only been a problem for...oh...ever???

couple that with an improved DB group and the weakness might appear to be the LBs, but if the DL can improve 50% vs run while being 90% as effective vs pass, i'm good with it as the LBs will look better even if there are no upgrades there.

not asking them to be top 5 vs run, but top 15 sure would be nice for a change.
