are still not confident on things -

improved but still a way to go just fromlooking at some of the tweets of quotes

makes sense to me - they have yet to see the guys play another team... and it is learning curve

did love Mattison saying they played The Victors today at schembechler hall for an hour (per angelique chengelis tweet)

or perhaps i should say, downplaying things

i get a sense of potential but not sure how far we are from what they think we can really be

Do you think they are trying to just temper fans expectations of this team? That's the feeling I got.

I dont know if a coach is ever really happy or if he is will ever admit it. You never want your team to think they have worked hard enough or they cant get any better. Hoke seems like a perfectionist so I highly doubt he will ever be totally happy.

I wish I could say I believe they are just trying to temper fans expectations, but I believe the defense is still going to have problems. There will be improvement on that side of the ball, but the defense won't be better than average. Campbell still sounds like he is going to be a disappointment as a Junior which really sucks. Sounds like MM will be dealing with a ton of double teams again and that's not good for him. Roh doesn't sound like he is really impressing anyone much. Idk about the D honestly. I'm drunk right now and pretty pessimistic about the D overall. I just hope that Avery starts over JT Floyd. Floyd has never impressed me.

I tuink more like tinsel
Nit just fans expectations but a feeling there is still some seeious development needed

Sounds like something I would do as a fan on Saturday morning. In fact, I do - do that and my wife gets extremely annoyed lol.

I don't have any idea what to expect Saturday and I would imagine the coaches are kind of in the same boat. Like Hoke keeps saying - it's one thing to practice on State street and a whole different ball game playing on main street. A kid could be awesome in practice and with the pressure of 110,000x2 eyes looking down on them - they could suck. And a kid who maybe wasn't as good in practice could excel when it comes to pressure situations.
