Seems like a good kid! Muskegon is not the greatest of places to grow up in, he knew trouble was all around and completely disconnected from everyone. Smart young man. He has a bright future!

#17 on Chad Ford's big board, I think he needs 2 years at MSU to grow up a little bit. I don't know how he would do with life on the road in the NBA at his age, tough thing for a lot of people.

#17 seems high though he certainly has quite a bit of upside. With another year of maturity and added strength he could get himself into the top 10 (playing on a stacked team). Probably going OR staying could be the right choice for him next year.

Izzo said that he hopes he's a lottery pick after this year, but he said that if he ends up being ranked that high that means that MSU would accomplish what they want to this year and have a hell of a year.
