I didn't know they were 12th..but that isn't anything spectacular, and is really besides the point.

My point is that Stafford makes it difficult for the Defense to focus in on one player..the stats dont lie. They are currently 4th in the league at 34 PPG...so the running game (or lack thereof) hasn't seem to hurt them yet..

seriously dude , do you have a clue ? the lack of a run game will show up soon...and it for surely show up in the play offs if they're lucky enough to get there.

and CJ taking a CB and Safety over the top almost every single down opens up a helluva lot of room for the other guys.

Easy buddy..when did I Say Schwartz wouldnt Kill for a 12th ranked run game? Obviously 12th is MUCH better than 26th..but it hasnt cost the lions a game yet and hasnt prevented the Offense from putting up points.

Will it cost them a game or two down the line if they dont get it straighten out? Yes I say that is a very strong possibility, but three games in the passing attack looks very balanced and deadly.

when you wing the ball 40+ a game....you better have a diverse attack.

lack of a run game has everything to do with them spreading the wealth in the passing game.

it almost cost them the Tampa game...a game that should have been put away in the early stages of the 4th quarter , lack of a run game and some real quick 3 and outs allowed the Bucs to get a sniff at the end.

3 - 0 is awesome and Stafford having eye popping numbers is great but you dont win playoff games and superbowls with stats , they have to find a way to get 115 yds a game out of the run game week in and week out...then they will be very scary.

I understand what your saying Slick but if this passing game is as good as advertised it's not really needed. In fact you look at 3 straight years in the super bowl there was a team there with a terrible run game. Packers, Colts, and Cardinals. Do the Lions need a run game? Nope. Do they need an offensive line to throw all them passes though? Yup! The Lions have the talent to throw it all over the field on any team. Problem is that Stafford might not have the time to do it. Then again fix the offensive line and they probably fix the run game also.

we'll see..... if they're still winning in weeks 10 and beyond without a run game I'll buy into it.

2008 and 2009 Indy and Zona were both among the better teams at keeping the QB clean giving up less then 30 sacks.

It would have been nice to ice the game at Tampa with a run game but how many years removed are we from being 0-16? We can't fix everything in this little of time.. At least we can win one dimensionally and look good doing it.

theyve already conceded that their run game sucks....hence all the screens and short dump downs to get best the ball in space instead of running the ball.
