In their first divisional clash of the season, the Detroit Lions marched into Minnesota and edged out the Vikings in a thrilling 31-29 victory.
The hype around this game was palpable, as the Vikings entered the week undefeated, while the Lions were eager to reclaim their spot atop the NFC North. The game lived up to every bit of the excitement. The Lions came together to hand the Vikings their first loss of the season in a game that truly could have gone either way. Despite a handful of mistakes that threatened to derail their chances, this Lions team proved it’s not the same old Detroit. They fought through adversity, capitalized when it mattered most, and pulled off a gritty, hard-earned team win.
There are certainly areas the Lions will need to clean up before they return home to face the Tennessee Titans, but there was plenty to feel good about. Now, let’s dive into this week’s Studs and Duds for the Lions’ victory over the Vikings.
