Surprise! We play Hoke's former team!

Kind of surprised no one has mentioned the significance of this week's game against SDSU. Considering it's against Hoke's former team/employer, this match up is intriguing.

I really think this will give us a huge advantage in knowing their personnel, schemes, and weaknesses.

I was listening to the radio this morning and they said that Hoke actually tried to get Brandon to buy out the game and switch it.

Hoke seems to be a very loyal coach. I can't imagine he would want to coach against kids he recruited.

Kind of like being a dad and coaching against your kids, and your current team is filled with kids you didn't recruit. Cant be a good situation. But feeling out Hoke he shouldn't let emotions dictate the way he coaches.

I can understand why, he seems to prefer to stay out of the headlines and not get drawn into media hoopla. Its just awkward on a number of levels. From professionalism, advantages, personal, and due respect. Hopefully its only a distraction to Hoke and doesnt transcend to the team.
