First report out that TCU was invited to join the Big 12.

How does that work? They are scheduled to join the Big East next year, I am sure they have next years schedule set up!

I hope the Big East can stay a conf. They need to add ECU, Army, Navy and a top notch mid major.

The Big East will struggle b/c of the nonfootball schools in the basketball conference. If the Big East adds 5 or 6 schools to join the conference for everything, they're going to have 20 teams in the basketball conference. If they go "football only" I wonder what that's going to do the list of schools willing to join and not jump ship for another conference that will accept them in everything.

It won't happen, but I think the best way for the BE to stay viable is to boot Georgetown, Providence, Seton Hall, DePaul, Marquette, Notre Dame (unless they join in everything), and St. John's and let them go to the Atlantic 10 or something. Take the football schools UConn, Rutgers, USF, WVU, Cinci, Louisville, and try to lure schools like ECU, Memphis, Navy, and anyone from the MAC.

It won't happen, so I think Big East football is dead.
