Just cut taxes, eliminate the minimum wage, and also any sort of accounting or auditing standards, and occupational safety regulations, and watch a bunch of small businesses will start up and find productive solutions to the issue. No government intervention needed.

TX should get a dime until Cruz and his ilk apologize for their interference/obstruction in providing federal aid for Hurricane Sandy victims.

Besides I read online somewher that the state has built up something like an 11B "rainy day" fund, in part from all of the cuts in education, infrastructure and state assistance to the poor and infirm living there.

I will never understand using politics during a state of emergency. Not during Sandy, Katrina, 9/11, or other times of crisis. People need assistance, not political BS. Times like this, it should not matter Red/Blue. Emergency situations should always bring out the United part of the United States. Once things return to a normalized state, banter away.
