And scary thing is the fact that we have not played a complete game all season. I think this team is as good as any in the country. We're not even half way through the season, I can bet Dantonio and Narduzzi will have this team peaking by the end of the season like last year. I just really hope that we sneak into the playoffs.

On a side note, did anyone notice that lasts night game lasted over 4 hours? It was brutal...

It frustrates me that we can't get 1 yard on 3rd and short runs. Part OL and part Langford hesitating. To me, that's fixable. Look out if we do figure it out.

Remember where this team was after 5 games last year? We were making a big deal out of just having our first 40 yard play from scrimmage after beating Iowa.

The defense made huge strides last night and the offense is still light years ahead of last years offense after 5 games. We have to keep getting better, but I think we're clearly a better team through 5 games than we were last year through 5 games.

3 perfect opponents coming up to really get rolling in Purdue, IU, and UM

Also, #8 in the coaches poll

We're just fine, that was a good win last night. We stopped the run, had some big special teams errors that need to be fixed but we play the 3 worst big ten teams before osu.

Did anyone see this statistic? Pretty darn good against the top 5.

Just fine is a bit optimistic for a game with tons of penalties, horrible kicking/punting game, secondary still needs a lot of work. Cook had some amazing throws but mediocre overall. Granted conditions were harsh but they have to get better and they have to eliminate all the mental mistakes.

3 games this week that could put the spartans in the top 5, assuming they beat purdue as expected. Auburn/Miss, MissSt/A&M, TCU/Baylor

the loser of Auburn/miss st probably won't fall past MSU. If Baylor and ole miss both lose we probably only get to #6.
