ok, not really...but I thought of him for no apparent reason.

According to Baseball Reference, he was 25th in the MVP voting (2 votes) and 4th in the Rookie of the Year for the 1997 season.

Ex-Tiger and Verlander no-no hero, being none other than Neifi Neftali Perez kinda crossed my mind a couple of hours ago, I wonder how he is doing nowadaze? (not really...haha!!)

Always sorta liked Deivi Cruz for some reason. He hit 2 homers and batted in 4 runs in the last live game I attended at the old Tiger Stadium.

I've been going through my old baseball cards...maybe that jogged the memory....even though I am only through 1991.

Deivi Cruz was the player I had the most heated arguments over on ESPN board. I maintained even in 2000 that his days were numbered. One doesn't walk once in every 40 plate appearances and be classified as good.
