Wasn't there a thread about the D-line sucking because they don't get the sacks? So I guess all these numbers don't matter.

which has more to do with our pass defense....that stepped up huge today......but we can make a thread that shows all the pass yards we give up. If you don't think our low sack total doesn't correlate to pass yards given up welp....I dunno what to tell ya.

Wow. 40.5 yards per game in that 6 game span. It's gone unnoticed because of all the turnovers by our offense.

The ypc is what is shocking to me. Don't know if I've ever seen a better run defense in Detroit.

Philly has the #2 rushing offense in the league. Skins are #1. GB is/was 5th.

Haven't given up a rushing touchdown in close to two months either....September 29th to be exact...

Its not a direct correlation but it is part of the problem against the pass. We got bigger at DE I think that is letting the LB's run free to make plays, Idoneje, Ansah, Taylor. If we had a decent secondary we could have a top D. There is still time for them to turn it around, Slay looked like he had a decent game.

3.7 YPC now on the season (top 5). They stopped allowing one big play a game. It would be number 1 in the league without the one big run by Peterson(shut him down the rest of the day), Forte (same other than 53 yarder), Travis Benjamin end around (shut down Cle RBs), and Morris 30 yarder. Zona didn't have a good day running. Lacy ran well consistently at Lambeau.


Stopping Gio, Lacy, Forte, Rainey and Bell is somewhat impressive though 3 rookies. Dallas was missing Murray.

We'll see what they do with McCoy. Stop McCoy and we have a great chance to beat Philly.


So much for the wide 9 being the problem. It was Avril, KVB, Spievey and Delmas being hurt. But mainly the DEs IMO. Plus Levy and Tulloch picked it up a notch and Palmer doing well in place of Durant. Wright and Smith and rookie Bentley and Florence couldn't tackle either.

We turned the hurries into hits and sacks yesterday.....Flynn only averaged 2.7 sec with the ball...but we still hit him a ton. AT one point in the early 3rd quarter I think we had hits on half their pass plays....that's ridiculous lol. Wish sitton would say something before evey game.

Slay and Mathis still had pretty good coverage. The pass rush helped but the coverage was the best I've seen all year. I didn't see very many Packer players with separation.

I think the lack of sacks prior to Thursday was less about the D Line sucking and more that our scheme is shit. I'm not saying blitz every play but mix it up ya know??

When they blitzed Delmas for that sack in the 1st half I almost shit myself. I might have even followed thru, I drank a lot.

We certainly need to blitz more against rookie and inexperienced QB's. I'm afraid we won't blitz much next week because they are afraid of McCoy slipping out of the backfield. Our pass rush is getting better the last 2 weeks now that Ansah is back. But we should be able to get home on a blitz if they have to account for Ansah, Suh and Fairley.

Teams won't "account" for ansah...not if suh and fairley are inside. That's why his production is important...its 1 v 1 production.
